FAQ
How far in advance should I book a photography session?
Typically, booking 2 weeks to a month in advance is preferable. If you need something ASAP, shoot me a message on the “Book a Photoshoot” page and we can try and figure something out!
What is your availability for weekends and holidays?
I’m available for all weekends and holidays excluding Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Is there a retainer fee, and how does payment work?
The retainer fee for your project will fall at about 20 percent of your total cost.
Can I request a specific style or mood for my photos?
Yes! Sophie Hill Photography gives you a photoshoot with no limits.
What is your editing process, and can I request specific edits?
I use Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop to edit your photos. You can request specific edits at the pre - shoot consultation, either in person, or over the phone!
How are the final photos delivered?
Final photos are delivered via downloadable gallery through my website. Your gallery will have a code specifically for you to ensure privacy and give you the freedom to share your photos with whomever you choose.
Do you provide guidance on wardrobe choices?
Yes!
Can I bring props or accessories for the session?
Of course! Anything you bring will be incorporated into your photos.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations are allowed at least one week prior to your shoot. The retainer fee is non-refundable.
Is it possible to reschedule a photoshoot, and are there any fees?
Rescheduling is allowed at least one week prior to your shoot. There is a $75 dollar rescheduling fee
Do you retain any rights to the photos, and can they be used in your portfolio?
Yes, however I always ask first, and take into consideration how my client feels about being put on my website, social media, and in my portfolio
Do I have the rights to print and share the photos on social media?
Yes, tagging me on social media is encouraged as well.
